Why now
The EU General Product Safety Regulation has applied since 13 December 2024. In Germany, authorities, competitors and trade associations can all enforce it.
In April 2026, a German court ordered an online seller to stop selling products without manufacturer details (LG Hechingen, 5 O 37/25 KfH).
